Masco Contractor Services Settles Wages Class Action
This is a settlement for the California Employment lawsuit.
The national construction company Masco Contractor Services has agreed to pay $8.5 million to settle a wages class action suit brought by more than 3100 employees, most of whom are Latino.
The suit alleged that Masco and its subsidiaries Western Insulation LP, and Schmid Insulation Contractors Inc., failed to pay the workers for a full day's work.
The lawsuit represents current and former California installers who worked for who worked for Masco between Jan. 1 and Sept. 30, 2008, and Western Insulation and Schmid Insulation any time between Oct. 13, 2002, and Sept. 30, 2008.
