Wal-Mart Pharmacist Awarded $2 Million in Employment Lawsuit
This is a settlement for the Employment lawsuit.
An ex-pharmacist with Wal-Mart Stores Inc, has been awarded a $2 million settlement by the highest court in Massachusetts.
Cynthia Haddad filed the lawsuit alleging that she had been discriminated against. She was fired by Wal-Mart after working for a store in Pittsfield for 10 years.
In 2007 a jury found that she had been discriminated against and awarded her $2 million as settlement, which was later revoked to $1 million. However, a Supreme Judicial court judge reinstated the $2 million settlement on Monday.
