$2.1M Unpaid Overtime Class Action Settlement Approved
This is a settlement for the Employment lawsuit.
Santa Clara, CA: A $2.1 million settlement of an unpaid overtime class action lawsuit has received final court approval, ending allegations brought against a health care facility staffing agency by some 900 of its workers.
According to the suit, the staffing agency, Workfit, illegally denied its workers overtime when they worked more than 40 hours a week, instead offering only compensatory time off, in violation of state and federal labor law.
Under the terms of the settlement, payments of $7,150 will be made to each of 200 plaintiffs and $743 to each of the 700 other members of the class based on the hours they worked without overtime compensation.
